The beautiful island of Bonaire does not only have flamingo's and coral reefs, but also many donkeys.

Nice, intelligent animals that are free to go around in the nature and feel at home in the tropical climate. They are an intricate part to Bonaire and are part of the culture. There are even traffic signs that warn for crossing donkeys.

In the past the donkeys they were used to do heavy work on the island but now fully enjoy their freedom. And although you find them everywhere on the island, a large group has already found its home in the park for their own safety and health.

Consequently you will enjoy the untouched nature in the park which has been founded by volunteers.
